The annual Foresight Neurotech Workshop brings together a tightly curated group of researchers, engineers, founders, programmers, funders, and institutional allies to accelerate progress in frontier neurotechnology. Our shared goal: push forward the technologies that may one day save lives, expand human capability, deepen our understanding of consciousness, and offer meaningful strategies for navigating a world shaped by advancing AI.
*Why Neurotech Now?*
Breakthroughs in brain–computer interfaces (BCIs) and whole brain emulation (WBE) have long been slowed by scientific complexity, institutional constraints, and limited funder appetite for ambitious, “sci-fi” goals. But recent advances in AI have increased both the urgency and the opportunity: frontier neurotechnology is now emerging as a potential tool for human–AI cooperation, competition, and alignment, while new computational approaches are unlocking faster routes to progress.
*What This Workshop Does*
Over two days, 60 leaders in the field come together to build shared context, align on priorities, and coordinate on solving key bottlenecks.
