In October 2016, ECCHR in Berlin hosted a conference on drone litigation strategy with international experts in law, academia, journalism and advocacy.
Conference participants reflected their experiences litigating drone strikes in the US, Pakistan, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy and Germany - such as the case of Yemeni family Bin Ali Jaber. Faisal bin Ali Jaber and two relatives survived an US drone strike in Yemen. With a legal complaint in Germany they are challenging the use of US-airbase Ramstein (Germany) in drone strikes.
