oh hey everyone glad to be back!
Today we are making a super simple yet very tasty potato casserole called funeral potatoes!
Ingredients you will need.....
-2 cups of sour cream
-1 can of cream of chicken soup
-1 medium onion
-2 cloves of garlic
10 tablespoons of butter (2 for onion and 4 for the mixture 4 for the topping)
1 tablespoon of garlic and onion powder
at least 30 ounces or 1 package of frozen hash browns, fully thawed out
or 2 packages of refrigerated potatoes (simply potatoes etc.)
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
some salt and pepper
2 tablespoons of parmesan
For the topping
2 - 3 cups of cornflakes crushed
4 or 5 tablespoons of melted butter
combine and toss on top!
Directions
preheat oven to 350 degrees F
1 - dice or roughly chop the onion and slice garlic crosswise
2 - melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté onions until preferred doneness 5-10 minutes
3 - add garlic and cook for another minute then take off the heat
4 - combine 2 cups of sour cream and 1 can of cream of chicken soup, the cooked onion and garlic mixture, 4 tablespoons of melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper
5 - add potatoes and 2 cups of cheddar into the mixture and combine
6 - turn out into a greased baking pan and spread out evenly
7 - crush up 2-3 cups of cornflakes in a plastic bag and mix with 4 tablespoons of melted butter and evenly spread out onto potato mix
8 - bake uncovered for 50-55 minutes in the middle rack of the oven
9 - take out and enjoy!
