Remove rust with this easy DIY electrolysis rust removal trick. Five east steps to remove rust without breaking a sweat.
It worked on this cam that I had from an old golf cart motor. Wait until the end to see the results!
Step 1: Put the rusty piece in a plastic bucket suspended with a wire.
Step 2: Clamp a scrap piece of metal to the bucket
Step 3: Add sodium bicarbonate, if you don’t have any use baking soda
Step 4: Fill the bucket with water over the top of the rusty piece to be cleaned
Step 5: Use a trickle charger and put the positive clamp on the scrap piece and the negative clamp on the rusty piece to be cleaned, turn the charger on 2 amp trickle charge and wait 6+ hours.
It’s really that simple and easy to clean rust off anything.
