✨ Quick Guide – Crochet Sophie-Inspired Scarf
(Full pattern and customization tips are available in the PDF)
Finished Size (my sample):
40" (102 cm) before blocking • 47" (119 cm) after
Widest point: 3" (7.5 cm)
Yarn used: 46 g before edging (56 g total)
Basic Structure:
The scarf is worked point-to-point using a simple 4-row rhythm:
Increase row → 3 straight rows, then a long straight section, then decrease row → 3 straight rows.
How to Make It (Loose Guide):
Begin at the first point:
Row 1: Ch 2, sc in first ch (1 st).
Row 2: 2 sc in the sc (2 sts).
Increase Sequence (tail):
Increase by 1 stitch every 4 rows:
Sc across + 1 increase, then 3 straight rows.
Continue until you reach your widest point (mine was 13 sts, about 10" / 25.5 cm long).
Center Section:
Work straight rows (no shaping) until the scarf reaches your desired length.
My center section was 20" (51 cm).
Decrease Sequence (second tail):
Mirror the increase section:
Decrease by 1 stitch every 4 rows until you return to 1 st.
My second tail was also 10" (25.5 cm).
Optional Edging:
Add a faux I-cord border (shown in the video) for a clean, polished edge.
