This easy homemade beef jerky recipe starts with ground beef, not sliced meat—making it simple, affordable, and beginner-friendly.

In this video, I show my straightforward process for making jerky sticks using a jerky gun and dehydrator. Any grade of ground beef will work, though leaner cuts like sirloin produce less mess during preparation.

Basic method:
* Use 3 lbs of ground beef
* Mix with 3 packets of jerky seasoning
* Dehydrate for approximately 5.5–6 hours
* Adjust time longer if you prefer drier jerky
