The Future Makers STEM Teacher Professional Development Workshops have been uniquely designed to bring STEM to life in the classroom.
For our Earth Shattering Science workshop, work through a series of activities to identify how the Earth has changed over time, investigate how the theory of plate tectonics and continental drift can explain geological changes, explore how these events can result in the occurrence of natural disasters, and engineer solutions to help mitigate the effects of these events.
The workshops take you through design-thinking strategies and enquiry-based activities aimed to spark student's curiosity, develop understanding and connect classroom learning to real-world scenarios.
