Today is Earth Day. April 22.
For me, it’s never just a date.
For the past two decades, I’ve witnessed the frontlines of the climate crisis — rising seas swallowing land in Tuvalu, forests disappearing in Cambodia, stronger typhoons and expanding deserts across China.
These aren’t distant stories. They are happening now.
And they raise a question we can’t ignore:
What are we doing about it?
Governments and corporations must be held accountable. The scale of this crisis demands it.
But this day is also personal. It’s about the choices we make. The voices we use.
The future we’re shaping—whether we realise it or not.
Because one day, the next generation will inherit whatever we leave behind.
And that responsibility belongs to all of us.
