Not because they didn't have the right camera—but because they were waiting for the moment instead of anticipating it.
This image wasn't luck.
As I approached the bird, I guessed it would take flight and waited with my camera ready. The instant it flew into the narrow gap between the temple walls, I pressed the shutter.
Shooting from a low angle allows the walls to create strong leading lines that pull your eye straight to the bird, while a fast shutter speed freezes the action and adds energy to the frame.
Here's the lesson:
