This video demonstrates how to do an In-air Leveling procedure and how to incorporate radio trims after in-air trimming.
I first mess up the AHI level by rolling the plane a bit on the ground and initiating the leveling procedure.
Then while flying I turn on 2DH which will initially follow the off level AHI, but the "Hold" part of 2DH will eventually straighten the plane out so it is flying a straight heading which levels the wings, even with the AHI off angle. I then turn off stabilization and note that my trims are off and the plane is rolling left and pitching down. I re-trim the aircraft with stabilization off until it flies roll and pitch neutral and then enter the menus, go to Stabilization menu and activate the Incorporate Radio Trims option to record new center trim positions.
One caveat to all this. If you've previously messed with the trims, without first doing an Incorporate Trims, then the 2DH behavior demonstrated in this video will not work. It will think you're giving it constant off center inputs, so it will not try to level the plane and fly a straight heading. Even if you initiate in-air leveling, when you center the sticks in 2DH, it will still drift off angle. You may find it drifting off angle too quickly to give you time to get into the menus and incorporate trims. In that case, you should probably fix your trims with stabilization turned off, then land and incorporate trims on the ground.
