Dry, seasoned White Birch.

How long did this kuksa take to carve?
It took me over 20 hours to carve and sand before I oiled it.
What kind of oil did I finish this kuksa with?
100% food-grade walnut oil. This is my preferred oil to finish eating/drinking utensils with. It leaves a beautiful finish that protects the woods and develops a very nice patina.
Is this carving for sale?
No. Nothing on my channel is for sale as of right now. I'm hoping one day I will be able to focus more on carving and eventually sell some of my work.
What tools do I use?
Hatchet - Marbles 700 DB
Knife - Helle Sigmund
Chisels - Cheap chisel set I bought from Amazon. They're not very good quality and most of them needed regrinding and sharpening to be functional.
Gouge - Henry Taylor bent gouge
Spoon Knife - Mora hook knife
