In this video I share a simple spoon design that can be achieved with a regular knife. I decided to use my hatchet to carve the entire spoon to test my skills a bit, which was a fun little challenge.
I have carved many spoons in the past using this design. It's an effective way to carve a spoon without the use of a gouge or spoon knife.

I wouldn't recommend carving this elaborately with a hatchet unless you are very comfortable handling blades. Some of the shots in this video make it look like my carving techniques could be dangerous, but I assure you I was being safe and cautious with my carving.

Thanks to all who watch. More videos coming soon.
