I made my parts when I still had time to edit and when I was in a huge SW mood. I still am, but I can't find time to really get into the fandom as much as I like to (like watching lore vids and catch up with the latest news for example).
Also I want to talk about the Bad Batch. I actually wanted to talk about it on my instagram, but I never did for some reason, so don't mind me talking abt it here. I'll rant some and throw love at it at the same time.
The Bad Batch started off stronger than ever. I can't actually explain my joy when I first saw the first 2 episodes; I was so stoked and it became my favourite SW media in a very long time. But then I witnessed it's downfall. The show lost it's momentum in the 3rd ep, and continued to do so in the rest. I kept waiting for it to pick itself back up, but it never happened. I realised the more I hoped for things, the more I found myself waiting for the most minimum of decentcy, which is not something I usually do. And oh my, the writing. The writing was weak, below avarage. The characters were not fleshed out, and did not feel like real people (the only exception might have been Wrecker). Tell me this, if you removed Tech and Echo from most of the episodes, what would change? Probably not much. I'm very dissapointed from this first season, but with all that said, I still enjoy this show. I can critique something, but still can love it. After all, I'm a hard bitch to satisfy and my standarts are high.
So I'm hoping for a much, MUCH better second season, because after all I will say, this show did made me love these characters a lot, but did not give me enough to connect to them, other than Wrecker lmao. Give us some Tech, Echo character arcs. Make the characters steer the story, not the events steering the characters.
