Be encouraged by Psalm 42 Dawn Hill 2024-10-07 | While getting ready this morning, I was listening to a playlist on my phone, and this song came on. Psalm 42 is a great reminder of our hope in Christ when the world around us is shaking and groaning. In the midst of chaos and despair, the difficulties of life cast monstrous shadows in times of darkness, but the psalmist goes back again and again to being encouraged by the salvation of God. We are not promised a life without trial and trouble. Life can change in a moment. But God is steadfast and unchanging. He is my Rock. He is my hope, and for those who trust in Him for salvation and eternal life, He is yours. Why are you cast down, O my soul,and why are you in turmoil within me?Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,my salvation and my God.
