Now we start the Story Mode. The story here is that Zhuge Liang is hosting a gathering for strategists, sending invitations to Sima Yi, Zhou Yu, Jia Xu, and you, the player. Everyone will be reminiscing about past battles and reenacting them on the war council table with military pieces, discussing strategies on how they could be done better and what you specifically would have done. Basically all this is a lot of mental imaging going on by the strategists, the battles aren't ACTUALLY happening.
Zhuge Liang seems to have high hopes for you, but Sima Yi doesn't expect much, so you start by reenacting the Yellow Turban Rebellion to show what you can do.
Unlike Tutorial Mode, Story Mode is more forgiving for objectives. You don't have to clear every mission to win, just fulfill the main objective, which is usually to take the enemy HQ. YTR is pretty easy, you get a lot of tutorial hint boxes just in case you started here and avoided the mode outright called Tutorial Mode. Although given how hard that ended up being by the end I kind of wouldn't blame you...
Anyways, there's not much to say about this stage. Just advance forward, summon 2 of the 3 brothers, and team up to take down the Yellow Turbans.
