Arrival of the first F-104 Starfighters at Leeuwarden Airbase (1963). The F-104 was the first aircraft to simultaneously hold the world speed and altitude records. The Royal Netherlands Airforce had 138 F-104s. In 22 years (1962-1984) 41 Starfighters crashed and 16 pilots died.
