Dutch aircraft carrier Karel Doorman was the last carrier of the Royal Netherlands Navy. Originally there were plans for 3 carriers. Because of changes in the mission of the Dutch navy within NATO, coupled with the huge costs of operating a carrier she was sold in 1969. #Vliegdekschip
