Duro and Indestro were originally two competing brands, that each have an interesting story to tell. Together, they became a major player in contract manufacturing of hand tools, making tools for Sears, Western Auto, Montgomery Wards and Woolworth's. And pioneered a major change to the way sockets were made. Changing times led to the company being dissolved, but it remained family owned for over 70 years.
