C. Vision Productions takes you to the Iron Range of Minnesota to experience the final days of the Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railway in 2003 and 2004. We cover movements on the Missabe and Iron Range Divisions, with taconite, limestone, and raw ore trains captured at a variety of locations. DM&IR's SD40-3, SD38, SD38AC, SD38-2, and SD-M locomotives look and sound great, with the Missabe’s P5 and P3 air horns heard echoing through the wilderness of northeastern Minnesota. Interdivisional Two Harbors runs, T-Bird raw ore trains, miscellaneous road freights, Minntac all-rail taconite trains, and Missabe Division taconite and limestone runs to and from Duluth are all documented in this program. This video is the predecessor to our more recent release covering Minnesota's Iron Ore Country.
