In this video, C. Vision Productions explores the Iowa, Chicago & Eastern on their Kansas City to Chicago mainline, along with the Marquette Subdivision between Sabula, Iowa and La Crescent, Minnesota. With coverage over 20 years from 1993 to 2013, we'll see trains of Soo Line, I&M Rail Link, IC&E, and Canadian Pacific as we progress through the video. Back in July of 2003, C. Vision Productions was invited aboard IC&E 4208 for a cab ride on local 914, between Le Claire and Pleasant Valley, Iowa. You'll see both mainline running, and a little switching during this segment. As expected, classic EMD power is featured on every train in this production, with models SD40, SD40-2, SD60, GP9, SD9, GP38-2, GP40-2, SD45, and SD35 commonly seen. This former Milwaukee Road territory is known for its scenery, unique physical characteristics, and interesting operations. Highlights include the Foster Bridges, the Sabula swing bridge, as well as street running in Bellevue, Iowa and Lansing, Iowa. This video captures a colorful era in Midwest railroading, one that will never be forgotten by fans and railroaders alike.
