Red Bank Police (New Jersey) responded late at night to a vehicle stopped on the left side of the roadway near Two River Theater.
Officers approached the driver, who appeared disoriented and struggled to answer basic questions. Throughout the encounter, the driver repeatedly laughed, gave inconsistent responses, and was unable to keep a straight face during questioning.
Standard field sobriety tests were conducted roadside. The driver had difficulty following instructions, lost count while performing tasks, and was unable to complete the tests as directed. Based on observations and performance, the driver was placed under arrest.
According to the police report, the driver was charged with:
Driving While Intoxicated – N.J.S.A. 39:4-50
