I made this 4-frame animation loop to test out the color ribbon I got from maceffects.com for my Apple ImageWriter II dot matrix printer. It’s so thrilling to watch color come out of this machine. The graphics were made in PixelPaint on my Macintosh IIci. The sound was created with the Ensoniq ESQ-1 synthesizer. I seem to have a knack for simulating animal sounds with filtered sawtooth waves. Although, I’m sure they could sound much better if I spent a little more time playing around with various envelopes.
