In 1992 Aer Lingus operated the Saab 340B Commuter aircraft between Bristol and Dublin. From Bristol, the flight path followed the Welsh coastline and at a narrow part of the channel, crossed the Irish sea to Dublin.
The unpressurised cabin seating layout was 1/2 abreast with a complimentary snack/drink service. Before the days of low-cost carriers, this return flight cost several hundred pounds...
