Qy helped me with some strategy - daggers are super-effective against greatshields.
Obviously this strategy doesn't work as well against multiple players. You also want to watch to see what type of greatshield user you are up against, broadly speaking they fall into 2 categories:
1. Mindless ganker - these are easy, just mash r1 in their face, mixing up timing only to account for panic rolls
2. Adaptive player - these guys will figure out what you're doing, easiest way to manage them is to run up as if to attack and bait a whiff, then start punishing
