Way past sunset at DROx - Drone Racing Oxford for race 8 of the Summer Series 2026
This was the first of 2 heads up races after qualifying
all 5 in the same gate..
No idea where I finished for this race, makes no difference compared to the racing.

Finally got to race at HTWCs Popham Airshow weekender!
Thanks to Kiz & Derpys encouragement getting me to the event, it was much needed, thank you!
So interupt the Whoops hibernation a bit early after putting them away in early Feb..
Qualified where I wanted to kick things off, in the top Main!
Come to the big race on Sunday I had a game plan. Up against Dirty & Infinity, I couldnt keep with them on qually pace so just dialed it a back a bit to keep it on the course, the old Tortoise attack!
It panned out as they raced eachother and made little mistakes, opening the door for me to win the event!

Shortly after this run, the DC barrel jack on my goggles decided not to play ball and threw a major wrench in my plans for going faster and faster as the heats progressed.
I was on target for my 45 which would have put me in 4th, but finished in the 6th for the country, so happy with that at least.
Id spent a couple of weeks making sure everything was dialed in and working like a charm, but hadnt considered my goggles power connection would hobble me - even had a brand new JB power lead for them.
At the end of the day Im still quite happy with how I flew, our SGDC crew put on an amazing GQ and all in all, the it was awesome!
Thank you to @Gemfanhobby for keeping us in the air! and everyone who helped make this event so special, including our amazing venue, Yate Outdoor Sports Complex.
