A few years ago, while deep in worship at a local house church, I had a vision… the vision I saw was of a large crowd of people gathered anxiously on the tarmac at an airport with their backpacks on and all their baggage surrounding them.
Then, on the horizon, I saw a huge passenger plane, like a 747, approaching, about to land. As the plane landed, I could hear the airplane’s tires contacting the ground and the roar of the engine.
After the plane landed and came to a stop, all the people who were already on the tarmac picked up all their bags and rushed toward the plane. As the first few people made it to the plane and the steps were lowered, the captain opened His cockpit window, smiled, and said, “All are welcome on board, but leave your baggage.”
Upon hearing the captain’s orders, half of the crowd instantly dropped their baggage and backpacks without hesitation and started joyfully boarding, while the other half looked at their baggage and then the plane turned and walked away with all their baggage in tow.
I believe that we are in a Kairos season, a moment in time, which will determine the next decade.
As we wait for the Lord’s return, we all have an important decision to make.
We must decide what truly matters to us and we must choose now which option we intend to choose.
Option a) is dropping everything and being lifted higher into God’s abundance and plan, or Option b) embracing the comforts of our worldly possessions, forsaking God and His plans, and living as the world lives.
As for me and my house, we chose to drop our bags.
