Long-distance travel has its challenges, When time is on your side it seems that finances don't align, and when you have the money you don't have the time. This was the few time in the past few years that I was able to
have the time and money to do this trip. However, being on a strict budget the cost of fuel really started to hit me. I'll
be honest with you the cost of fuel for this relatively short overland trip was north of 3 thousand dollars, that's fuel only!
I also ended up driving through some extremely dangerous weather conditions at the time. Not realizing that other states were
experiencing insane snowfall and blizzard conditions! So with all these mental gymnastics in dealing with including being solo
and living in my head for hours a day while driving it created a potentially problematic situation.
However, for me there's nothing that pulls me from the void as much as being among natural beauty and that's exactly what Moab
provided me, Waking up to heavy snowfall I make the drive into Moab Utah and pretty soon all those problems fade away and
I found my self traveling some beautiful and fun trails and found an absolutely stunning camp for the night and It was much needed!
