A teenage driver was arrested in Tampa after fleeing from a traffic stop and then crashing into another vehicle before attempting to flee again.
“During enhanced traffic enforcement through our Enhanced Law Enforcement Engagement (ELEE) program, members of our motor unit had a dangerously close call with a reckless driver in his mid-teens,” the Tampa Police Department wrote.
“When you’re behind the wheel, drive like someone’s life depends on it, because it does! For this teen driver, his reckless decision came with adult consequences: one felony and three misdemeanor charges.”
“Don’t be this driver. Slow down. Move over. Make safe choices. Help us keep our roads, and everyone on them, safe.”
