I've uploaded some of ryli06's works in the past, and I've seen most of the ones I didn't upload. With that being said, I think "DREAMS TAKE OVER" is her best work thus far. This is mostly due to the fact that it has more of a concrete theme that stays consistent throughout the whole level, while also featuring some fitting progression. As a result, it is much more memorable to me than most levels I see.
You start off seeing a really nice city skyline in the background, with light beams, particles, and other effects being introduced gradually until the climax. Seen at 0:41, this is where I interpret "dreams taking over", as the title implies, since it gets much more abstract with colorful effects. Later parts return with more background art of scenery as well, while still mixing in nice effects on top. The entire level has good color mixing, as it always features multiple colors that work nicely together, which also makes the visuals interesting aside from the art and effects.
All in all, I think this deserves an Epic Extreme Demon rating. I didn't mention the gameplay here as it's a bit too hard for me, but it's worth noting that s3venty helped out with that. It had many experienced playtesters, so I'm not too worried about the gameplay being bad or anything. Finally, special thanks to ryli06 for asking me about showcasing this cool project of hers, as well as for providing me with the footage courtesy of Blueskiii.

Note that I beat the level twice in this video, as its required for the coin. You can watch me get the collectables to unlock the coin from the start of the video, unlocking the cutscene at 1:34, or playing the normal path from 3:48. This megacollab is an entry for the NCS Gauntlet Contest, so I will not be reviewing it here as usual. However, I will still be reviewing the coin below this as it doesnt affect the contest placement. Also, please let me know what you think about this entry in the comment section!
*COIN RATING*
Overall: Viprin Certified. 4/4. The level only has one coin, which ties into the levels theme in a really unique way. It includes various collectables that are both hard to find and get. Afterwards, you have to beat the whole level again, this time from the normal path, adding an additional challenge.
- 1st Coin: Viprin Certified. Shown from the start, you have to get 11 collectables throughout the level, all of which spell out a number. These are found at 0:12, 0:23, 0:25, 0:36, 0:42, 0:49, 0:59, 1:07, 1:09, 1:22, and 1:26 respectively. There are too many to explain them all, but you can quickly see that they all have unique designs that fit well with the theme, while also being somewhat hard to notice and reach. When beating this, I accidentally skipped 1 or 2 several times, so the amount makes it pretty hard. Still, just collectables doesnt really qualify a level for Viprin Certified in terms of originality. The cutscene at the end is what does it, as the numbers from the collectables spell out the phone number to the cab called at 1:34. If you miss a single one, the girl will not call the cab. Before this, you have to watch her play and fail at Stereo Madness, Cataclysm, and Astralith for a few minutes, which is a fun touch. After this, the coin is unlocked in the endscreen through a persistent item, so rebeating it normally does the trick. This is shown from 3:48 in the video. All in all, the coin has lots of added difficulty while also being original in how well it ties into the theming of the level with lots of thought and effort put into the execution. I dont know how many people will get it, but itll be a cool challenge for those who do.
