So you might know me as the village idiot who really likes Sonic '06. What you may not know is that I didn't really like this song very much until I heard it again recently. Until about 4 days ago, this song was just that weird techno song you skip after beating Silver's campaign for the 50th time, but as luck would have it, I got yet another new '06 thing to obsess over.

This is almost entirely due to the version of the song that's titled "(LB vs. JS Remix)", which is also what this song is partly based on (same tempo!) I really enjoyed the little Green Hill cameo in there, so I put in some Sega Genesis/Mega Drive soundfont stuff in there too, because I think it encapsulates the theme of the past and nostalgia and wanting to change things. Speaking of...

I also made this song's lyrics be about how much I want '06 to be reimagined. I found it to be incredibly poetic how the game reflects Silver's entire story: We are, right at this moment, living in a timeline where this game is broken. What if we could go back and mend this faux pas? The OST alone is simply too good to be trapped in misery, you could say.
