Welp, it started as a one day edit like a month ago because OLD SCHOOL ROCK AND LOVE LIVE IS MY AESTHETICS, then I thought I could make it look like a movie trailer or something with voiceover and text BUUUUT idk how to add voices when there's bgm in the series so I dropped the idea but yesterday night I was stressed over some stuff and I thought about adding coloring to this shit to distract myself and as a way to say "I'M ALIVE WAIT FOR A DECENT VIDEO IN LIKE A MONTH OR TWO" so that's how THIS MESS WAS BORN

Honestly there are lots of things Id like to say about this video, even if it is a comedy video it has a load of sociopolitical issues, but I think no one cares about it LOL I even considered making a small essay about the motivation for doing it, the inspiration sources and the actual meaning of some of the content BUT I think i will look like one of those dorks who try to give meaning to their not-so-deep shit, so just enjoy the tacos LOL
I know the compositions are really bad at some points but I was running out of time and such, this is the last time I do a video and send it to a contest without feeling satisfied.

Fucking Arrow convinced me to enter, I started the first day trying to do a romance edit BUT I prefer to do my sentimental videos slowly, so I ended up doing something upbeat because its easier to edit. SORRY FOR using this song, but it had the right vibe for the series.
WHENEVER I FEEL IN PANIC IN AN IC NOT KNOWING WHAT TO EDIT ILL USE EITHER LOVE LIVE OR MADOKA, GET USED TO IT IDGAF.
The story supposedly follows the movie events but in a simplified way: the girls go to NYC and dance and record videos and get famous and stuff, lots of light leaks and flares and pretty colors bleh bleh.

I know it has some flaws but I was making this for a friends bday and NDK, and I had some personal issues that lead me edit it in a short period of time and Im hella slow... so I had to rush it LOL
Im not that satisfied with the outcome but Im happy because I FINALLY FINISHED A BL VIDEO AND I USED AN OVA I LOVED. Also I played a bit with colors and flare transitions, next time I use them I promise I wont screw them.

I have lots of things to say but I dont think I have the right words to do so.
This video was really hard to do, but not in a technical sense (as you can see, it wasnt anythng complex and has lots of flaws).
I started this AMV around when my semester started and was meant to be a chill edit, I loved the movie and jumped into Pr right after watching it, I always liked this song from Foster The People and I thought the lyrics could make sense with the plot (basically, a boy learns lessons and grows up a bit).
Some days after that, my mental health got incredibly bad for a handful of reasons and its been some of the roughest months Ive had in my entire life; now, after being in my lowest, Im going to therapy and Im improving slowly.
I hated a lot on this video because of all its flow, sync and transitions flaws and put it down for a lot of time but I was convinced by some friends (YOU BITCHES KNOW WHO YOU ARE) to finish it for ncs,; as soon as i got vacations I used some days to finish whatever the fuck I could do before the deadline.
In the end, while I still dont really like the outcome, I want to recognize this video represents different things for me and how I try to overcome my issues and be a better person for everyone around me and for myself. Thats why I decided on this title.
Also, penguins are cute af and this movie is REEEAAAAALLLLLYYYYYYY NIIIIIICEEEEEE, may not be everyones cup of tea but it in fact is pretty on brand for me tbh, you guys should give it a try some weekend you need to feel cozy uwu
Right now Im doing better and Ill try to edit more frequently, Ill probably just do small projects for a while before getting into something big.

Hmmmm... this Love Live! AMV looks weird but I cant really pinpoint why...
In a real note: I know this looks a bit different from what I usually do and it felt incredibly dissonant for me, but the pack was so good and I had too many ideas, including this combo... the thought of editing rap for the first time during an IC felt *weird* at first... but then Kagacie and Kuro (love you, guys) suggested it was a good idea to go out of my comfort zone, so here we are!
I know it has mistakes and could be better, but I enjoyed the new experience and I think the video is ok, plus Im glad I finally edited a decent video for this movie I love (go check it out if you dont yet!).
I want to give a super special THAAANKSSSS!!!! to Tommy for teaming up with me during this IC, it was a fun experience to work with you and Im thankful for the feedback, specially during the early stages of this video, sorry if Im too insecure sometimes asdadsfdfad.
