The 21 Foot Rule was intended to establish a safe distance in which one could draw and use a pistol, but what if it was applied to swords? Modern training with European swords rarely considers the reality of having to draw the sword in a tense or frenzied situation. Here we consider different aspects and realities of it, combined with a lot of sparring footage of the games we played to put it all to the test.
