This was a training exercise done at moderate levels, a halfway exercise between a drill and sparring. The focus was on opposing polearms with a sword, and working together to take down a polearm user. The halberds and staff trainers used are all our lightest/safest types that allow everyone to get involved regardless of equipment levels, as opposed to some of the heavier and stiffer polearm trainers used during higher contact training.
