In this art video I explain how to draw a complicated object by using simple shapes. The video is designed for beginners and those looking to develop their drawing. The drawing is based around a carpenter's plane , I explain how to look for the basic shapes of the object and then once those are established add the detail and the final shading. Towards the end of the video I give you 4 great tips for improving your drawing and making the outline sketch much more three dimensional.
