This is the third in my Christmas Art Prompts series. I'm taking 12 Christmassy themes and choosing one at a time at random, drawing or painting it using different art supplies. I'll be using the designs I create in my Christmas cards this year. In this one, I'm painting a five pointed star with wintry foliage and berries using gouache and acrylograp pens.

For this video, I chose to illustrate 'Star' and used the following supplies:
Windsor and Newton Designer's Gouache. I have the introductory set and supplemented it with a couple of extra colours (Indigo, Venetian Red and Burnt Umber)

Hot Press Watercolour Paper (This is less textured than other watercolour papers and I've found that helpful for using with Gouache)
