Here's a video that discusses proper cap use on the old vintage XGK stoves. (I get the question a lot.)
For the following: MSR XGK 9, XGK G, XGK GK, and XGK II... use the BernieDawg DragonTamer silent damper cap.
Cap no longer in production.
For the MSR XGK EX stove, use the XGK Dawg cap.
