This is a challenge I came up with during my time playing Dragon's Dogma that I think veteran players may enjoy as well as hopefully sparking some interest in Souls players who may be looking for another fun game to play.
The idea of the challenge is to make it as far as possible in BBI with a fresh character on normal difficulty without doing any of the old world content. BBI is extremely difficult for a new character, but the quality of the drops makes it possible to get geared up quickly if you can make it to the chests. When I started this challenge I was sure it wasn't even complete-able but I eventually did finish it so it's entirely possible.
Rules:
1. You must do only what is necessary in game to reach BBI and go no further. Specifically you must reach the encampment, create your pawn and then defeat the Hydra. You may go no further but can do anything from that area back to BBI.
2. You must play offline and only use your own pawn. You may not recruit other pawns, especially other players' pawns, nor are you allowed to put your pawn online for others to use. This negates most of the challenge.
This challenge is about how far you can go using your own character and pawn without relying on anyone else.
Note: I was short on time and only added commentary for the first half of the video. If there is enough interest then I will continue to stream the challenge on Twitch and can then transfer it over to Youtube. The first challenge I streamed using an Assassin was far too long to make into youtube videos but now that I have a better understanding I should be able to do it in far less time.
