This isn't Dark Souls related, but in preparation for the PC release I wanted to get my screen capture setup tested. With the console version I use my Hauppauge card, but now I have to rely on capture programs and I'm not that familiar with them. I just messed around in Skyrim for awhile to see what settings to use for capture and it came out pretty well. I've tried different programs including FRAPS and Playclaw, but I am really liking DXtory. I can run Skyrim at 1080p using Ultra quality settings with all mods turned on while recording at 30fps with no noticeable framerate loss. Meaning Dark Souls that will run at 720p/30fps should have no issues.
I have various graphic, lightning and environment mods installed so it won't look like the standard Skyrim to some of you. It's very dark in some areas, which it's supposed to be due to the realistic lighting mod, and the weather system is a bit more drastic. It runs at a rock solid 60fps on my actual computer but of course it's knocked down to 30fps for youtube.

-Radeon 7850 2gb
-Corsair 128gb SSD (win 7 & programs)
-Seagate Barracuda 2 TB (for storage and video capture)
-16gb 1600mhz DDR Ram
-Hauppauge Colossus PVR (not used in this test)
