Hello and welcome to the search engine optimized description for my review of one of my favorite RPGs of all time, Dragon Age: Origins. This video covers the creation, story, world, lore and characters of one of BioWare’s best fantasy role-playing games.
Coming out in the early 2010s, Dragon Age was BioWare’s ultimate throwback game. They had pushed forward with Mass Effect, and now they wanted to look back and say thank you to all their Baldur’s Gate fans by creating not just another fantasy RPG, but one that was set in their own world and told its own unique stories. This led to the creation of Thedas and Ferelden, the Chantry and the Mage’s Circle, the Dalish elves, and the setting’s signature threat: the darkspawn, along with their sworn enemies, the Grey Wardens.
So come join me as we explore one of the defining games of the Xbox 360 and PS3 era, a true CRPG brought to consoles. Let’s take on the role of a Grey Warden, hang out with the likes of Morrigan and Alistair, slay some dragons, go adventuring in the Fade to fight demons, and maybe—if we’re lucky—we can save the entire world from destruction at the hands of the Blight.
