First elected as a Labour Party MP in the July 2024 General Election (with a majority of more than 11,000 votes), Dr Simon Opher spoke to Dave Harries about his experiences during his first month in office.
Dr Opher has been an MP at the May Lane Surgery in Dursley for the past 29 years and was awarded an MBE in 2016 for advocating social prescribing and was instrumental in the building of Dursley's Vale Community Hospital.
