Scott Rogoff | Dr. Mario Break the Targets 12.67 [TAS WR] @Mario64Master | Uploaded December 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
This tool-assisted speedrun (TAS) was completed by Mario 64 Master (Scott Rogoff) on December 17, 2020.
This is the current TAS world record for this level. The previous record was 12.68 by ajp_anton (youtu.be/mkRvmgfWNG4) from June 2010.
1 frame was saved due to faster leftward movement towards target 8. A full jump at 10.18 and fast fall at 10.63 lead to perfect alignment for a horizontal waveland at 10.87. This causes a faster leftward slide along the blue platform than the down-left angled waveland in the previous record. Doc slips off the platform's edge a frame earlier (at 10.99 instead of 11.00).
Setup:
Dolphin 4.0-9410
Melee NTSC 1.02
Fullscreen Resolution: 3840x1600 (cropped to 1944x1600 with OBS)
Internal Resolution: 8x Native (5120x4224) for 5K
Anti-Aliasing: 8x MSAA
Anisotropic Filtering: 16x
