Since its release, Qt has been extended to other languages to bring its amazing features to diverse communities, combining the beloved framework with language-specific features.
After the success of various language bindings, such as Python, particularly through the PyQt and PySide projects, one might ask: “Once the language bindings are complete, is the project done?”
This talk presents the many implemented and planned features of PySide (a.k.a. Qt for Python), which go beyond the known Qt API, along with the motivation behind these decisions.
The goal of this presentation is to showcase a success story of bringing Qt to a completely different language and share lessons learned that could help improve the main Qt implementation in C++.
Attendees will also be introduced to the current project plan for future Qt releases, as well as new prototypes under discussion.
