David is a long-standing KDE contributor, currently employed by Blue Systems, with a focus on Wayland and its stack, from KWin to Qt.
Plasma 6 saw the return of the desktop cube, but the underlying improvements go much further. KWin introduced support for an entirely new infrastructure that tightly couples QtQuick with KWin’s rendering system, making KWin’s content more accessible.
In this talk, we will explore the challenges with the current approach, the solutions we developed, and discuss how these advancements enable creative individuals (like you!) to innovate further.
