Bruker | Dr. Asif Equbal: Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) Advancing NMR Detection Capabilities @Bruker | Uploaded November 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Dr. Asif Equbal (@nyu-abudhabi)'s research interests are interdisciplinary. Currently, he's focused on the development of Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP), a technique that can significantly improve the sensitivity of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (#NMR) and biomedical imaging. In the long term, he is interested in light-activated spin chemistry and its application in the development of materials for future quantum technologies.
Dr. Equbal is also one of the founders of the Global NMR Group supporting students to network and learn more about NMR.
The Global NMR Group is a union of early-career spectroscopists interested in spreading knowledge of magnetic resonance techniques to amateur and veteran spectroscopists through educational webinars and online events like the Twitter conference.
The group formed during the pandemic when people were searching for new ways to connect.
The aim of the group was to provide a webinar series that differed from the normal conference-style talk by putting an extra emphasis on the introductory material and questions from the audience.
