He won an Oscar for his portrayal of Bernardo in 1961's West Side Story at the age of 26. He did a wide range of work over the decades since and in 2021, after not being in a film for 25 years, he decided to do a day on an indie called Not To Forget. He took some time to chat with David Poland about his life, his work, and yes, the West Side Story issues of then and now.
