Petra Costa is a Brazilian documentarian with her first Oscar nomination for her 4th feature. Joanna Natasegara is a director and producer of documentaries and has gotten her third nomination for The Edge of Democracy after winning for White Helmets in 2016. The duo stopped by to chat with David Poland about their doc, which looks at the nature of corruption and democracy in Brazil, which feels all too familiar in America these days.
