Always make sure to specify which downwind you are in the traffic pattern.
This helps other pilots visualize where you are at and plan accordingly. There is such thing as a left/right downwind/base/crosswind, but there's only one final! I'd be rich if I had $1 for every time I heard someone say "left final".
