J. Lawrence Cook was QRS's star arranger between the 30's and about the mid 60's. The 1921 hit rag-song "Down Yonder" became popular again during the 1950's ragtime revival after the honky-tonk pianist Del Woods recorded it and made it her signature tune. The folks at QRS released Cook's arrangement shortly after. Cook is playing under the pseudonym of "Scott and Watters", one of the many names he used for his 4 handed arrangments. What I love about "Scott and Watters" rolls is how accurate they are to rolls made by Kortlander playing under his pseudonym of "Baxter and Kortlander." There are tremelos, two-handed melodies, and played as a one step, everything that an authentic rag-song roll from the ragtime era has. QRS roll #8770.
