You can have 2 arc turrets at the same time. Warlocks just got a new aspect called ionic sentry. This allows you to throw down a stationary arc turret after you get a few kills. And you can pair this with arc soul to make your rift create an arc soul that sits on your shoulder and shoots at enemies. Or you can use getaway artist to turn your grenades into enhanced arc souls that are even better. So just throw down a turret going into a fight, eat your grenade for another turret, and let them do most of the work while you sit there pretending to play the game.
