Joseph Killins took the stand in his own defense and gave his version of what happened on April 18, 2023, making a series of startling claims. Killins claimed he knew the DoorDash driver and that they were in a relationship, but denied being the man with the gun or robbing anyone. Prosecutors accuse Killins of kidnapping and assaulting the DoorDash driver during a delivery, shooting the sister of the driver’s girlfriend, and separately assaulting and robbing another woman.
